Two Dallas firefighters are being treated for injuries they suffered when a burning apartment balcony collapsed on them.
Late Monday afternoon, a two-alarm fire broke out at Windridge on the Parkway, an apartment complex along the Dallas North Tollway near Belt Line.
Fire crews arrived to find a ground-level unit burning furiously with the flames moving up to the second floor.
While fighting the fire, the second-floor balcony gave way, showering debris on firefighters. Two of them were rushed to the hospital but they're expected to be okay.
Eight units were damaged by fire, smoke and water. The Red Cross is helping those occupants.
