Two school-age Fort Worth children are in the hospital after being badly hurt in a lightning strike during Wednesday's storms.
Reports say the kids were playing in a front yard of a home on Iron Ridge Drive in south Fort Worth. Neighbors saw lightning hit a tree and the electric charge knocked the children down even though they were not in contact with the tree.
The children were rushed to Cook Children's and are said to be in critical condition.
