North Richland Hills Police say one person has now died from a shooting Tuesday night. They were called to an apartment complex on Emerald Hills Way, north of Highway 26 and Harwood, about 10:30 p.m.
Police got several 911 calls about both a car crash and gunfire. Officers found a car had crashed at the complex, and two people had been shot.
In a press release, North Richland Hills Police said one victim was in a car that had crashed into a parked car. They said another victim was outside an apartment door.
The man in the car died at the hospital; the woman outside the door had been shot in her upper body.
"Officers rendered immediate aid before she was transported to the hospital in stable condition," North Richland Hills Police wrote in the release.
Wednesday afternoon, police said no arrests had been made, and they had not confirmed what might have led to the shooting. They had been investigating crime scenes at the apartment complex and a park nearby.
