Two teenagers are locked up following a Garland shootout that left one person dead yesterday.
Police gunshots were exchanged at a gas station on West Kingsley Road. The shooters were gone when police got there but witnesses reported two people shot at one another and then got away in two vehicles.
Two wounded victims got as far as a strip mall a couple of miles away. When police pulled in, one of them was already dead. The other, an 18-year-old named Jairo Saavedra, was treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, a wounded 15-year-old turned up at a Dallas hospital.
Surveiilance video showed that he and Saavedra were the ones shooting at one another and detectives don't think either one was firing in self-defenese.
Both of them are now jailed.
