Two wanted men are in the hospital and a third is on the run in Fort Worth where gunfire erupted Thursday.
About 4:30 Thursday ATF agents were at the Rocco Apartments, an apartment complex near I-30 and Randoll Mill.
As an ATF spokesman puts it, the safety of their agents was compromised and gunshots were fired. The bureau is not saying why the agents were there except to say it was for an unspecified investigation.
Two suspects of the investigation were wounded in the gunbattle and were taken to a local hospital, their conditions have not been released.
A third suspect was also apparently wounded but got away and was the target of an all-night manhunt.
The ATF was assisted in the investigation by police from Fort Worth and Arlington.
