Republican North Texas lawmaker Bob Hall has filed a bill to allow the Texas Department of Public Safety to invalidate all transgender licenses.

SB 84 defines "female" as someone whose biological reproductive system produces eggs.

This bill would require all transgender women to be identified as male on certain government documents, including Texas driver's licenses and state IDs, and could go into effect on Sept. 1, 2025.

It would also require transgender men to be identified as female on these documents.
