University of North Texas Provost and Vice President Jennifer Evans Cowley was named as the only finalist for the position in January and has just been confirmed by the UT System Board of Regents.
Cowley has been at UNT for just over four years and was previously a vice president at Ohio State University. UTA is the second-largest school in the UT system with about 41,000 students.
