There's a new plan in place designed to keep Fort Worth’s trees in tip-top shape for years to come.
The Texas Trees Foundation and the City of Fort Worth are working together to draw up an urban forestry master plan which will be the city’s first. The plan will evaluate the city’s urban forest resources, reassess its tree canopy goal and identify planting and preservation areas.
In addition to that, the city council is considering using some money from the city’s tree fund to pay for studies and planning initiatives to leave a green legacy for generations to come.
