$50,000 grant up for grabs through The Dallas Foundation

The Dallas Foundation has opened the application process for their Pegasus Prize.

The $50,000 grant is open to Dallas County non-profits, for-profit organizations with a charitable purpose, or hybrid organizations applying innovative approaches to addressing community needs.

"Our mission is to bring together people, ideas and investments so that individuals and families can thrive and reach their full potential," says Drex Owusu, chief impact officer at The Dallas Foundation.

Through the Pegasus Prize, The Dallas Foundation intends to recognize organizations applying new ways to solve ongoing problems for residents of Dallas County.

"We are incredibly excited...to build an inclusive and supportive Dallas for all in our community," Owusu says. "The Pegasus Prize is a small way for us to highlight innovated approaches and methods to making Dallas a better place for everyone."

In 2020, Impact Ventures was the recipient of the Pegasus Prize, which helped the nonprofit continue to build its capital model, which challenges traditional financial markets.

The Dallas-based organization is dedicated to creating more diverse and inclusive ecosystems, not focusing on the credit score or collateral, but community organizing, relationship building and trust.
