ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- The University of Texas at Arlington is on the verge of filling its top job that has been vacant for almost two years.

The UT System Board of Regents on Friday unanimously nominated Dr. Jennifer Evans-Cowley as the sole finalist for president of UT Arlington.
Dr. Cowley is currently provost and vice president of academic affairs at the University of North Texas.
By law, the board must wait 21 days before making Dr. Cowley's appointment official.
She's in line to succeed Interim President Dr. Teik Lim, who announced this week that he will become the president of the New Jersey Institute of Technology this summer.
UT Arlington has not had a permanent president since Vistasp Karbhari resigned in March of 2020 amid allegations of misconduct and bullying.
