Hours after UT Southwestern announced it had been designated a vaccination hub by the State of Texas, the medical center said reservations had already reached a limit. The medical center had launched an online portal and added a third vaccination site.
UT Southwestern said the registration portal would stay open until 10,000 people sign up. Once 10,000 people registered, the medical center stopped reservations to ensure everyone could receive two doses of the vaccine within a three week window.
"Registration will open and close weekly to reflect the amount of vaccine received from the state and federal authorities. UTSW is encouraging individuals who register to check back every Monday morning," UT Southwestern writes on its website.
