FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD)- Veteran Fort Worth police officer William Martin has been arrested and booked into Tarrant County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
This happened after an off-duty shooting on September 3, during an altercation with another driver on I-35W. Martin fired shots after reporting a hit-and-run, claiming the other driver tried to ram his vehicle.
Martin, who has been with the department for 19 years, has been placed on detached duty by Fort Worth PD. He's the same officer involved in the controversial 2016 arrest of a woman named Jacqueline Craig. She had called 9-1-1 for help and ended up arrested.
