The victims have been identified after two people were killed in a Collin County crash Thursday.
The collision was on Country Road 543 near Nevada. DPS investigators say an SUV ran a stop sign and slammed into a van. The impact sent the van into a spin and it pinwheeled into a construction zone where it struck two workers.
One of the workers was identified as a Dallas man named Hilario Alvarado, he was killed on impact. The other worker was not hurt.
A passenger in the SUV, a Tawakoni woman named Rebecca Ridgdon was also killed at the scene.
Both drivers were hurt and were taken to Medical City Plano with non-life-threatening injuries.
