A McKinney man and his dog are fine after being caught in a precarious position from fast-rising waters from this week's flooding rain.

A McKinney Fire Department Technical Rescue crew found the man and his dog trapped in muddy water beneath a bridge over a fast-rising Wilson Creek underneath El Dorado Parkway.

They were unable to get out so a firefighter was harnessed up and lowered into the water where he attached himself to the man and man's best friend who were hoisted up to the bridge where they were checked out.

They did not seem to have any injuries. In fact, the dog just shook himself a couple of times and was then looking for some attention from his rescuers.
