Dallas police are releasing security video from the motel parking lot where a man fatally shot himself Tuesday just before a US Marshals Task Force moved in to arrest him in a child sexual abuse case.

Dallas police deputy chief Terrence Rhodes says the suspect was Rufino Olmos who had felony warrants out of Austin where police wanted him on charges of Indecency with a Child and Continuous Sexual Abuse of A Child.

Even though Olmos shot himself in his SUV before the Task Force moved, this is considered an in-custody death meaning the Dallas Police Special Investigations Unit is conducting the investigation with a separate probe conducted by the Dallas County District Attorney's office.
