A vigil will be tonight for Dallas police officer Mitchell Penton who was killed by an accused drunk driver early this week.
On Sunday, Penton was run down while working a crash scene on Central Expressway.
A candlelight vigil begins this evening at 6 p.m. at the Dallas police Northeast Patrol Division on East Northwest Highway near Audelia.
His visitation will be Sunday evening at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano which also the site for his funeral on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, the accused drunk driver, Phillip Mabry, remains locked up on a half-million dollar bail.
