Walmart announced Monday that it will shut down some of its drone deliveries to focus more of its drone power on the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
The grocery store would stop drone services in Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Tampa, saying that it didn't have enough demand in those cities. Now they will be available in 11 Walmart locations in Dallas, three in Arkansas, and one in Virginia Beach.
This follows Walmart's announcement earlier this year, where the company planned to expand its drone delivery service to include 75% of households in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Drone-Up is the delivery company. Since 2022, the company has been in a partnership with Walmart and opened many locations across the country.
