A Waxahachie mother is accused of shooting and killing her two sons early Thursday morning.
Ellis County sheriff’s deputies were called around 4:13 a.m. to a home on Big Sky Drive, where they found two males with gunshot wounds.
The sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Christopher Scott Pitre died at the scene. A 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The boys’ mother, 42-year-old Colleen Nichole Lemmon, was also found at the home with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say Lemmon was responsible for the shooting. She was later booked on two counts of capital murder.
Authorities have not said what led to the shooting and have not released the name of the 15-year-old victim.
