You will need a lot of extra patience as we head out of town for the Christmas holidays.
AAA Texas says today is the busiest travel day on the roads for Christmas. Around 9 million Texans will go at least 50 miles from home. To put it into perspective, that's about a third of the state's population.
Add to it the possibility of some nasty weather during the weekend, you're going to want to be even more careful.
