The White House has set the goal of getting 70% of people vaccinated against COVID-19 by July 4th. The President says he knows he won't hit that goal completely.
Here in North Texas, there is only one county that's even close to that 70% level. 66% of Collin County residents have had at least one shot. Denton County is at 60%. Dallas and Tarrant Counties are both around 55%.
It's the outlying counties in North Texas that aren't anywhere near 70%. Most of them are below 50% with just one shot.
Wise County is at 36% with just one shot. Parker County and Johnson County both are under 42%. Hunt and Cooke Counties are around 37%
