So what can you bring with you to the polling sites, and what needs to stay at home?
Collin County elections administrator Bruce Sherbet says you can bring a help sheet, including anything that has been printed out, mailed to you, or even handed to you. The only thing you can't do with that information you bring is to display it to other voters in the polling place.
"You're welcome to use whatever you need to use or that you've studied for voting" says Sherbet.
Also any items, including clothing, hats, and even masks, cannot have a political message, a message for or against a candidate, or political party on them inside polling places.
Sherbet said this means while a "Make America Great Again" hat or Joe Biden button or sticker would count as electioneering. However electioneering could be interpreted and enforced differently across the state.
Sherbet says most counties in the area are using vote centers - which mean you go to any location in the county. In Dallas county voters can use the American Airlines center near downtown.
Denton County, along with Tarrant and Collin, have assigned polling places, so Sherbet says make sure you look up or call to find out where you need to vote.
