White Settlement police have video showing four male suspects, likely teenagers or young adults, brazenly walking down the street Sunday morning, going house by house, checking car doors to see if they can find an open one, apparently hoping to commit burglaries.

Police say a homeowner was sitting in one of the cars and when one of the four realized that, and he fired two shots. One struck the homeowner's car and the second hit a car in the neighbor's driveway. The homeowner was struck in the leg apparently by a ricochet. He went to the hospital to get checked out.

White Settlement Police Chief Christopher Cooks says, "I am outraged by the reckless disregard for human life while committing multiple vehicle burglaries across our city streets." Cook goes on to say "I am confident that we will solve this case based upon evidence found at the scene."

The video released by Cook is compiled from doorbell cameras of neighbors who volunteered their video when they learned police were investigating.
