A man has died after being shot in White Settlement Monday night and his relative has now been charged in his death.
Police say the victim was found badly wounded in the street along a stretch of Ronnie Street. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died Tuesday.
Police say they have arrested an older relative - identified as Daniel Hernandez. He was initially charged with aggravated assault but detectives now say with the victim's death that charge will be upgraded to murder.
Based on witness statements, detectives accuse Hernandez of shooting the victim once and then after the man collapsed in the street walked up and shot him again.
