More than ten days after a Rhome police officer was shot in the leg, the suspect and his girlfriend are both finally in custody.
Royce Wood was wanted in a home invasion and when a Rhome police officer pulled him over, the officer was shot.
Officials found the couple in a motel in Batesville, Arkansas and took them into custody without incident, based on a tip the U.S. Marshals acted on early this morning.

"He still was in custody of the weapon we think that he used to shoot that officer" said Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin.
Police say Wood's girlfriend Tiffany Caswell is also a suspect in the home invasion, although not in the shooting.
Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin said that while Caswell is not the woman who was Wood's passenger on the mototcycle on the day of the shooting. That woman was detained for questioning but released.
"We're all really pleased and excited and appreciate all the good work by the U.S. Marshals, as well as the Texas Rangers and a multitude of other agencies that have worked so hard to get these two people in custody" said Sheriff Akin. "I'm just so relieved that these people are finally in custody. It's been a difficult 12 days."
Wood was wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Wise County Sheriff's Office says on its Facebook page that Caswell is now wanted on the same charge.
