FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD)- An Azle woman is behind bars for stealing a van overnight...but it's the KIND of van and its "passenger" that makes this story unusual.

Valerie Traglor-Ellis from Azle was arrested Tuesday night about two miles from JPS Hospital where this all began. At about 7 pm, a man parked a van outside the hospital and went inside. Traglor-Ellis noticed and that's when she boosted the van.

But after a couple of miles she must've looked in the mirror to see -- a body. She screeched to a halt and bailed out. See, this van belongs to a mortuary service and there was already a body in the back when the mortuary man was sent to pick up a second body at JPS. That's why he left the van outside and that's where Traglor-Ellis found it.

Fort Worth police tracked her down not far from where they found the van. So, not only is she charged with stealing the van -- she's also up on a count of, yes, abuse of a corpse.
