Delgado presents four main arguments for overturning her capital murder conviction for the September 2015 contract killing of uptown Dallas dentist Doctor Kendra Hatcher. Delgado was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Delgado says there was never enough evidence to show she actually hired Kristopher Love and Crystal Cortes to kill Dr. Hatcher who was dating her ex-boyfriend. And she attacks Cortes as a liar on the witness stand, something that came out at trial.

Delgado also says the jury was given bad instructions and that a detective was allowed to speculate.

In October 2021, Delgado's conviction for her involvement in the murder for hire plot was upheld by an appeals court.
