A Fort Worth man remains locked up, charged in the gruesome murder of his wife.

In February, Elizabeth Rowland was found dead in her south Fort Worth home. Her throat had been slit and police investigators say she was nearly decapitated.

Police reports say her husband claimed he had witnessed Rowland do it to herself. But police knew that was impossible because of the severity of her wounds.

Now, two weeks later, Nathaniel Rowland has been arrested on a murder charge. The couple had only been married for a few months.

Reports say Elizabeth Rowland's teenage daughter was home at the time but was not hurt.
