A woman has received a life sentence for her part in the murders of two people in Plano three years ago.
Court records show Carmen Moreno was convicted last month and was sentenced yesterday.
A woman named Theresa Coomes was found stabbed to death in the apartment of her friend Jimmy Farris who was also found murdered.
Officials say Moreno and her friend Cynthia Wingate were driving separate cars when they were pulled over in McLennan County. Moreno was covered in blood and deputies found two bloody knives in the car she was driving.
Deputies ran the plates on the two cars and they turned out to belong to Coomes and Farris.
Plano police were then asked to check on Farris and Coomes and found their bodies.
Wingate is also held on Capital Murder charges and her trial is scheduled to begin in ten days.
