A woman has been stabbed to death in East Dallas and the man accused of the killing is now locked up.
On Sunday, the victim was stabbed in the neck and chest as she was found in the street at the intersection of Hunnicut and Saint Francis near Lakeland Hills Park. She died at the scene.
Police found their suspect driving less than a mile away at Saint Francis and I-30. A police car tried to pull him over but he would not stop. However, Andre Woods crashed his car a few miles away near I-30 and First Avenue.
Woods was taken to the hospital to get checked out but as soon as the doctors released him he was transported to the Dallas County jail on a murder charge.
