A SWAT standoff is over in Fort Worth where a woman is now locked up after a three-hour ordeal that began when a homeowner who was not home saw a woman in his house through his security cameras.

When police were called, they showed up at the home on Chase Court near the Fort Worth hospital district. As they pulled up, the officers saw the woman coming out of the house with an armload of stolen property. They ordered her to stop and she pulled out a pistol before retreating back into the house.

Police say the homeowner arrived about that time and confirmed the woman was a stranger and had no business being in the house.

With the woman barricaded inside, the SWAT team was called. When the woman would not come out, they forced entry inside and found the woman had gone upstairs and still would not give up. It wasn't until after midnight when she finally surrendered.

Police say she will be charged but the specifics have not been released yet.
