Frisco construction worker has 'life threatening' injuries after falling 20 feet into a manhole

A construction worker has "life threatening" injuries after falling into a manhole yesterday.

The Frisco Fire Department says it was called to the scene on Main Street near FM 423 where firefighters learned the worker had fallen about 20 feet.

The worker was part of a crew doing concrete utility work inside a storm drain. The Frisco Fire Department's Rescue One team went down to stabilize the man and lift him back to the surface.

He was airlifted to Medical City Plano. His current condition has not yet been released.
