Measles cases continue to grow in Texas

The Measles outbreak affecting parts of Texas has grown again.

20 new cases have popped up across Texas bringing it to a total of 561. The Texas Department of State Health Services continues to see the main area of concern being in Gaines County which borders New Mexico.

A total number of 58 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak began and two school-aged children have died. Both of which were not vaccinated. The vast majority of cases are in western Texas with two counties affected in Central Texas and Lamar County in northeast Texas bordering Oklahoma.
