This week is National Influenza Vaccination Week. The CDC established it back in 2005 to highlight the importance of continuing flu vaccination through the holiday season and beyond.

Getting the shot is half the battle, the rest is letting your body do the work - and according to one study - the amount of sleep you get can affect the vaccine's effectiveness.

On Ask the Expert, Meridan Zerner with the Cooper Clinic joined the KRLD zoom room. She explains why your sleep is important when it comes to getting the flu shot.
