Over the weekend, bombshell news dropped over the sudden death of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst. Police reports say she died after falling from a high rise she lived at in New York City. Investigators suspect suicide.
On Ask The Expert, Hailey DeWolfe joined the KRLD Afternoon News. She is with the North Texas Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and says this news hit particularly hard because Kryst was a person who portrayed to have it all together. Suicide is the last thing anyone would have guessed would happen to her.
DeWolfe says there are several local resources available for anyone in need of mental health help, especially if you are having thoughts of suicide. Anyone can also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.
