Actor Ben Stiller visited Ukraine, spotlighting the needs of those forced to flee the country while meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Seeking safety is a right and it needs to be upheld for every person,” Stiller said in a statement marking World Refugee Day in Ukraine on Monday. “Protecting people forced to flee is a collective global responsibility. We have to remember this could happen to anyone, anywhere.”

Stiller also visited nearby Poland, where many families the war has displaced have fled. The conflict is driving the fastest and largest forced displacement crisis since World War II, the UNHCR said.
The Emmy Award-winning actor is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, a U.N. refugee agency.
The actor and activist said he’s met with refugees and asylum seekers worldwide, including in Syria, Central America, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
