According to a new survey from iSeeCars.com, the average new vehicle loses 49.1% of its value after five years.
And, some vehicles depreciate a lot more than others. iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer said the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited topped their "lowest" list, with an average five-year depreciation of just 30.9%. Meanwhile, the car with the highest depreciation, based on a five-year loan, costs its owner an additional $1,200 per month. That’s not including the actual payment.
Brauer talked about the survey with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
