Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras show footage of an accident with a white sedan and box truck that resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire and almost going over the railing of an overpass on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Hwy 10 in Blaine as a sedan attempting to merge on the overpass over Hwy 65 came crashing into the back of the box truck.

Video then shows the sedan spinning out as the box truck went straight for the guard rail of the overpass, erupting in a fireball.

The fire appeared to fall over the rail of the overpass as cars drove through, and another car next to the box truck appeared to be hit as the driver attempted to recover from the collision.

The wreckage is still being cleared away, and the eastbound stretch of the highway has been shut down for at least another hour.

The health of the drivers involved in the crash is currently not known.

This is an ongoing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
