Buc-ees is headquartered in Texas with a huge presence here and a number of other stores mostly in the southern US. But, they're now looking to expand their footprint in Florida.
Buc-ees has two stores in Florida, one on Daytona Beach and another in Saint Augustine. Now, it has put in applications to start building a new store in Florida's capital city of Tallahassee.
City officials are looking over the proposal for a 75,000-square-foot store just north of I-10 in the city. This new location would be just a little smaller than the one being built in St. Lucie County, Florida.
The largest Buc-ees is in Luling, northeast of San Antonio. The company's built a reputation for convenience food, lots of gas pumps, clean bathrooms and its beaver mascot.
