One of the most iconic figures of our childhood is Chuck E. Cheese.  How many hours were spent at birthday parties stuffing our faces with pizza and begging our parents for more tokens to collect cheap plastic toys that would break on the card ride home?

A staple of the Chuck E. Cheese experience was the animatronic band that would perform every half hour or so.  Unfortunately, the animatronics seem to be a thing of the past.

Executives with the chain say that by 2024, all animatronic bands will be removed from every Chuck E. Cheese restaurants nationwide.

According to Spoon University, Chuck E. Cheese chief executive David McKillips says this is a move for the restaurant to “keep up with the times.”  The animatronic band will be phased out in favor of “more screens, dance floors, and trampoline gyms.”

If you ask us, trampoline gyms inside a Chuck E. Cheese are a terrible idea.  Not even thinking about the injury potential, you get a dozen kids stuffed full of pizza and soda who then proceed to bounce on a trampoline?!  Puke EVERYWHERE!
