Following Disney's public opposition to the recently signed Parental Rights in Education bill, also known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, in Florida, a conservative media network is planning to launch their own children's television programming.

The Daily Wire, founded by political commentators Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing, said on Wednesday that they plan to invest about $100 million into children's programming over the next three years and launch DW Kids.

The company is preparing to launch DW Kids on their digital subscription platform in the spring of 2023.

"Disney was once a reliable source of wholesome and innocent entertainment for children," The Daily Wire said in a press release.

"But controversy after controversy had roiled the network over the last several weeks -- from CEO Bob Chapek's public condemnation of a Florida bill protecting young children from inappropriate conversations about sexuality in schools o leaked videos of Disney employees bluntly stating their agenda to promote radical gender ideology to their young viewers -- leaving parents fearful that the content their kids are consuming is brainwashing them at best and endangering them at worst."

Boreing spoke at an employee town hall meeting on Wednesday and said that some people are done with paying for Disney and other "woke media companies."

"Americans are tired of giving their money to woke corporations who hate them," Boreing said. "They're tired of giving their money to woke media companies who want to indoctrinate their children with radical race and gender theory. But they want to do more than just cancel them. They want alternatives. The Daily Wire is giving them those alternatives."

According to their news release, The Daily Wire has hired Eric Branscum and Ethan Nicolle of "VeggieTales" and the Babylon Bee to lead their children's programing development.

One of the antimated shows, "Chilla Time," features a family of homeschooled chinchillas, according to Variety. Boreing expressed his excitement for the show on Twitter, saying "Chilla Time is heartfelt and hilarious. We’re six scripts in and loving it!"

He went on to tweet a message directed towards its competition, saying, "Disney, please continue spending billions on content with a 'not-so-secret-gay-agenda.' It’s the best advertising we could never pay for."

Shapiro also tweeted after the announcement of DW Kids, saying that there won't be any "radical gender theory" in their programming.

"Our pitch is simple: we don't crap on your values, and you won't have to pre-screen our content to ensure that we're not teaching your five-year-olds about radical gender theory."

The announcement of DW Kids comes a week after Boreing launched his own shaving company, "Jeremy's Razors," about a year after the popular brand Harry's Razors pulled their adverting from The Daily Wire because of "values misalignment."
