Most people know you from your time in front of the screen, but you have experienced directing in television as well. So how was it, directing your first. feature length film?

Amazing. I mean, it was amazing. I’ve been directing TV for over 10 years and I feel like all that experience really paid off in this movie. We had a very ambitious schedule, so we kind of moved at a TV pace and then slowed down when we needed scale and scope for the shots and the scenes that needed that, that space. But I really understood the assignment. I knew this was an opportunity to create a love letter to Latinos everywhere in the United States and all the contributions we do.

So how was it on set working with people and just working with everyone?

It was a pleasure. It was a dream come true. I mean, you have people who are so skilled at what they do, so well versed and, and so specific, Eva is an absolute dream to work with. Not just because she’s so kind and gorgeous, but she has such a specific vision and knows exactly how to articulate it. And that’s, and she’s an actor’s director. I mean, that’s a dream to be able to. Articulate an idea and make you feel like it’s your own. I mean, that’s a special kind. You know, and that’s why the film came together and take your idea and make it my own.
