A 21-year-old Florida woman is arrested after deputies say she was caught driving 107 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone while heading to pick up pizza in Palm Harbor.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was stopped on U.S. 19 after a deputy clocked her vehicle traveling nearly twice the posted speed limit late at night.

According to the arrest report, the woman told deputies she was in a hurry because she wanted to reach a Little Caesars location before it closed. Authorities say she was taken into custody without incident and now faces charges related to reckless driving and excessive speed.

Deputies did not report any injuries or additional vehicles involved. The case remains open as prosecutors determine whether to pursue further penalties.
