A Kentucky woman got a disturbing surprise when a package she believed contained her prescription medication instead arrived filled with human arms and fingers.

The shipment, authorities say, was intended for a medical training or research facility but was mistakenly delivered to her home.

Investigators determined the mix-up involved multiple carriers, including an airline, a freight company, and a local courier. The coroner’s office retrieved the body parts and confirmed they would be sent back to the courier for proper delivery.

Officials say the case appears to be the result of a shipping error, and no criminal activity is suspected.
