Taylor McCowan is a junior at Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Grand Prairie, and she's already making a difference in our community. In 2019, McCowan realized that many women didn't have access to feminine hygiene products. She organized an effort to help girls get these necessities, and in 2021, she began The Confident Girl.

McCowan, 17, started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her new endeavor. With the donations, she purchased sanitary pads, lotions, deodorants, etc. and packaged them in cute, reusable bags that spread inspiring messages. She then delivered them to local schools.
