Kyle Mabe, 40, stopped by a convenience store in Wytheville, Virginia early Tuesday morning when unfortunately for him, his credit card declined.
And police said Mabe didn't just cut his losses and move on without his purchases. No, he allegedly decided to set the store on fire.
After his card was declined, he walked out of the store, and then walked back in with a can of gasoline which he dumped all over the floor and set aflame.
He drove off as the store manager tried to put out the fire, but police said they found him at a nearby apartment complex hiding under a tractor trailer. Mabe was holding a hammer at the time, so there was a bit of a stand-off, but he was eventually taken into custody after being tased.
Mabe is facing felony charges for arson, burglary, and destruction of property though according to WDBJ, police say they might add a few more charges. Mabe was out on bond for an incident that occurred in Wytheville in May when he was accused of burglary and possession of a schedule I or II drug.
