The commercials that air during Super Bowl LVI on Sunday will be more fun, more nostalgic, and more about crypto.

At least three major cryptocurrency firms are scheduled to air spots inside the game, marking the growing industry's first major jump into mainstream advertising. One firm, FTX, is even promoting it will give away a significant amount of bitcoin during the Super Bowl.

The ads in this year's game will also feature more celebrities, and A-list personalities, than ever. The list runs from Peyton Manning to Zendaya, and from Mike Myers (as Dr. Evil) to Gwyneth Paltrow.

NBC sold the commercials in Super Bowl LVI for a record $6.5 million on average, although some advertisers are paying even more.

Dr. Abhi Biswas is a marketing professor in the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT-Dallas. He joined KRLD's Chris Sommer for their annual discussion on Super Bowl advertising.
