GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) -- The state of Michigan is going after one of the recent stars of “90 Day Fiancé.”
Attorney General Dana Nessell has notified Stephanie Davison to retract a statement claiming an injection from her skin care company could prevent COVID-19.
Davison, who appeared on Season 8 of TLC’s popular reality show, owns Skin Envy, which operates non-surgical weight-loss centers in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.
The Grand Rapids-resident reportedly appeared on a lifestyle segment on WOOD TV's Eight West, where she suggested that an ipamorelin/sermorelin injection offered at Sky Envy could help prevent COVID-19 because of its ability to boost the immune system.
"So, I'm thankful and now I've been vaccinated so I will not get it ever now," Davison said (via Detroit News). "So I'm so grateful and I've had people tell me in the medical field that it is probably due to the ipamorelin/sermorelin."
Nessell told Davison to make a public retraction within 10 days, or she could be sued or face a criminal investigation.
