Our partners at NBC 5 tell us that on Friday, American Airlines stated that unvaccinated employees, will need to use their sick time or medical leave if they miss work due to COVID-19
Fully vaccinated employees, that come down with the virus, will be given special "quarantine time".
Southwest Airlines stated that it will restore pay or paid time off to its workers who had to quarantine over the summer, after catching COVID.
Southwest had ended that program last June due to both a decline in cases and an increase in vaccine availability.
