The hit Netflix series Outer Banks is returning this month with a whole season full of new adventures and even more action that the previous seasons.

Season 3 finds the Pogues facing a new set of challenges, racing to find treasure and running for their lives.

Jonathan Daviss (Pope) and Carlacia Grant (Cleo) joined KRLD's What to Watch team to talk about the highly anticipated third season.

Just as the crew are best friends on the show, Grant says the cast gets along just as well in real life.

"We don't really take time off from hanging with each other. So like, even when we're not filming, and we're back in LA, we still spend time," she said.

The action-packed show is filled with stunts that the actors have to face, and according to Grant and Daviss, the new season is filled with even more.

"I love that elevator sequence," Daviss said.

"He loves it. I'm afraid of heights," Grant said.

"I definitely had to turn up my Cleo, because I had to jump like four levels, and I don't even like roller coasters. So I had to like turn on my Cleo and then do the stunt and we had to jump through like an elevator shaft. We did that for like a week."

Grant also mentioned that fans of the series will see a much more vulnerable side of her character Cleo this season.

"This year, we're gonna see more of Cleo's inner strength. Last year, we saw her exterior being very strong. This year, we're gonna see more of her inner strength, and we're gonna see Cleo's vulnerable side that we have not seen like any of this. So it's a bit of a character shift. Truthfully, Cleo has a really huge arc this season."

When asked about the new season, Grant and Daviss both said fans can expect more action, more romance, and more surprises.

"I'll tell you what, yeah, definitely more action. There's a lot of romance this year," Grant said.

"A lot of good a lot of big surprises I feel," Daviss added.

"We always like to leave off on cliffhangers and that doesn't change so yeah, be very excited to see fans reactions to all the episode cut-offs."

"Yeah, more of everything you love, and a little bit more," Grant laughed.

The new season of Outer Banks premieres on Netflix on February 23rd.
