Southwest Airlines is bringing back one of its most beloved promotions, giving people the chance to fly for free. The DFW-based airline recently announced the return of the companion pass, which allows qualifying customers to bring one person to fly with them free of airline charges.

As the cost of an airline ticket continues to rise, many have been forced to either cancel their travel plans or look for alternative transportation. That’s why Southwest Airlines has decided to give their loyal customers a little break with the return of the companion pass. To qualify for the promotion, customers must be Rapid Rewards members, according to their release.

Those hoping to get a free ticket must sign up for the promotion by September 8.

“We’re thrilled to bring back this popular offer, making it easier for new and loyal customers to travel with their special someone,” said Jonathan Clarkson, Vice President of Marketing Loyalty & Products at Southwest Airlines. Thanks to the companion pass, traveling just got a little easier.
